Sacred Hearts Rising – Courage Under Fire is a book filled with heartwarming, inspirational, true-life stories that nobody wants to voice out loud but certainly wants to read about. Everyone has a story, and every story has merit, for each story has shaped us into who we are today . You will undoubtedly find yourself in one or more of the author’s shoes or know someone who has a similar story. You may feel what some of the authors have gone through and understand others and you will discover how they came out the other side: whole and free. It takes tremendous courage to stand up and say, ‘enough is enough,’ and it also takes that same courage to create the change that each of the authors in this book went through to have a better life for themselves, their children, or others. In this last Sacred Hearts Rising book, there is a section of stories called, “ Full Circle ,” These are stories of the first authors in the previous books who shared their journeys and the story of how sharing changed their lives. Their initial story is included, along with their Full Circle story. It emphasizes that the power of sharing is truly a journey . The stories vary from abuse, mental illness, suicide to cancer survival. You will find inside: Inspiration – Honesty – Courage and more. Yes, Courage Under Fire. The silent voices of women who decide that being silent was not their answer to a better life. So, grab your favorite beverage, sit down, and be inspired while you enjoy the journey of many women finding a new path in life. As this journey closes on Sacred Hearts Rising books, I will be forever in awe of the beauty, resilience, determination, grit, grace, courage, compassion, and understanding that each of the authors exhibits in their lives. They may not have liked what happened, and they will never forget what happened, but in writing their stories, I believe they finally forgave themselves for what happened to them . Actions by others through no fault of their own. To be at the mercy of someone more powerful than you, both physically and mentally. To have no voice, to have no one listen, no one hears you, and no one to at least try to understand is a travesty on its own. As a human race, I hope we will start to understand and have compassion and empathy with one another, especially if you yourself are faced with someone coming to you and asking for help. Are you ready to be challenged, to be taken to that place in your heart and mind that only you know to exist? Are you ready to feel that you are not alone with what has happened to you? Are you ready to finally be free of the past and the images and words that haunt you? Are you ready to be inspired? If so, then this book is for you. You will read about traumatic experiences faced by these writers and how they overcame them. It truly has been an honour and a privilege to have worked with all of the authors in this four-part series. As I have learned so much, I know that each person who wrote or read one of the books learned things they did not know about themselves. “To err is human, to forgive divine.” Alexander Pope#BeckyNorwood
